It’s always refreshing to see bold bright colors at a Clearwater Beach wedding. Not mention the occasional mustache here or there! Jennifer and Mike incorporated mustaches in the bridal party pictures, mustaches as escort cards and even a tiny felt mustache on the bride’s bouquet. Definitely not your run-of-the mill wedding decor!
“They were not interested in traditions and what you ‘should do.’ They wanted a party to celebrate their nuptials, and they wanted to make sure that the environment helped their guests to feel the same,” said Mandikas.
The fun-loving couple added their personal touches throughout the wedding, including a Dukes of Hazard groom’s cake, and of course, mustaches!
“When a client gives you a theme like mustaches it really needs to stay an accent – so we stuck with a sleek modern aesthetic with lots of bright colors,” said wedding florist and decor vendor Amanda Allen of MMD Events.
To keep the with the modern design, MMD Events included yellow daffodils and yellow and white tulips for the cocktail hour centerpieces. The Clearwater Beach wedding reception featured a mixture of tall white glass centerpieces with yellow mums and low centerpieces with yellow cymbidium orchids, Craspedia, and mini yellow callas.

This image is my favorite of BOTH of them, I love it because the lighting was so nice and although we were on a very tight schedule and Clearwater Beach was crowded, it gives the illusion that it was a very “private” moment. – Clearwater Beach wedding photographer David Krantzberg of Basia Mille Photography.

The idea for Marry Me Tampa Bay began when I was planning my own Tampa Bay wedding, but had to scour the internet for hours finding and researching vendors. While I did discover amazing pictures on some of the national blogs, the vendors were usually out of state. I created Marry Me Tampa Bay because nothing like it existed and I had 15 months of planning and research under my belt. I didn’t want all my knowledge to go to waste! So my gift to you Tampa Bay Brides, a one-stop-bridal shop with amazing pictures, local events, and great vendors.
